New format for VAC Carp Match....

After considerable review the format for the annual VAC Matt Mills Memorial Carp Knock-out competition has been revised and hope that this will inspire a few more competitors to take part this year.

We have tried to make the competition a little bit more interesting with pay outs on all the qualifiers and final, and opportunities to fish other qualifiers if unsuccessful on the first round. Venues will be as previous years at Lancaster Lake, Smallford and Moor Mill and to make it even more interesting the final will be held over two legs, one at Moor Mill and one at Smallford. Weights will be converted to a points system so that weight of fish caught becomes irrelevant.

For more information please contact Andy Killinger or check out the Facebook page.

Subscriptions for Season 2017/18
Following agreement at the recent AGM the new adult annual membership rate will rise by 2 to 92. New members and previous members who have allowed the membership to lapse will pay a 40 joining fee plus 4 for a gate key.

Other memberships will increase pro-rata. Existing members will receive invitations to rejoin during May. Existing tickets remain valid until June 16 and over-the-counter membership from Verulam Tackle and Colney Tackle will be available around mid-May. Also around the same time we will open up our online system for new applications with payments accepted via Paypal.

CHANGED: After refreshing the VAC home pages every month or two since March 2000 I've decided to slow things down a little pending a complete site makeover hopefully later in 2017. So, for the time being, each quarter of the calendar year will see a fresh home page published rather than monthly or bi-monthly. Any urgent notices, e.g. new venues, will be added as and when to the existing pages. As ever, I would love to receive your contributions, be they pictures, articles or just feedback. And remember that you can look back at all the old issues via the Archive link. Thanks....Stan, Webmaster
