Lysander Match Lake

Lysander Park Fisheries, Sawbridgworth

Added to our portfolio in June 2014. This mature lake has 25 permanent pegs. The lake is tear-drop shaped with a small island at the narrow & shallow end and with depths to 8ft at the open end. Located on the former RAF Sawbridgeworth airfield site (see Lancaster Lake for more details) the lake is now pleasure fishing only - no match bookings are being taken.

The match record is currently 109lb although pleasure bags can be higher and along with numerous common & mirror carp to 15lb (average is 4-5lb) there are numbers of large bream (to 10lb), tench, golden orfe, large brown goldfish plus various 'silvers'.

The fishery is located about 35 miles from central St Albans via the M25, M11 then north through Harlow.
